American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Long Island City is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Long Island City is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Black sesame chocolate croissant is VERY good. Love how there is a hint of toasted sesame and the cream inside is subtle and not too sweet. Would get again. Croissant itself is super flaky

Wish they had more baked goods. I came at 6pm and there was only a couple items left. There isnβt any indoor seating but there was like two or three chair outside of the bakery where you can sit. I got a cinnamon roll for $8.66 and when I sliced it with my knife, It felt very hard and at that moment I was like oh no. Then I took a bite and I was like damn the cinnamon roll is really good. Probably my favorite so far.

(Updated) Iβve tried almost all of the pastries here at this point, including the monthly special, and while everything is good, most of them donβt really stand out to me. The monthly special was decent, but not particularly memorable. Personally, I think the tahini pastry and the cookies are the highlights and the ones Iβd definitely come back for. The rest are enjoyable but they didnβt leave a lasting impression compared to the price. (Old) My favorite pastry spot in the Astoria/LIC area! I order from here on uber eats quite a bit and my top picks are the Sesame croissant and the Ferrero Rocher croissant. The cookie and brownie are also delicious and not overly sweet. I especially love the big chunks of chocolate in the brownie. I wasnβt the biggest fan of the pistachio lattice croissant, pain au chocolat, or the cinnamon roll here but the spinach and ricotta swirl and the cheddar pretzel are both really tasty. Itβs definitely one of my go to bakeries.

The price was quite expensive for a coffeeshop in astoria. But the pastry is worth it, the coffee its just usual. But its quite hard to find pastry like this in astoria and it was great.

They were all delicious flakey and buttery with a good amount of sweetness also great customer service, my favorites were the black sesame tahini pain au chocolate brownie, and cheddar cheese twist.
